Dannenberg Information Point

In the ‘Altes Rathaus’ – the Old Council House – in Dannenberg you can now hear the voices of the local population of frogs and toads, including the brightly coloured fire-bellied toads. Dive into the fascinating underwater world of the Elbe valley and discover the secrets of the lives and habitats of its twelve indigenous amphibian species with the help of computer terminals half hidden behind larger-than-life bulrushes. The exhibition has something for every member of the family – especially on rainy days – and it whets one’s appetite for finding out more about the biosphere reserve, for instance on an outing to the Elbe. The information you need is available close by in the tourist office at the entrance to the information point.
